The project designed by Franco Driusso brings Arrital kitchen outdoor.
Arrital expands its vision of contemporary living with Solaria, its first outdoor kitchen, designed by architect Franco Driusso. Solaria is a system inspired by the desire to deliver top-tier performance in outdoor settings, combining premium technical materials with a distinctive and recognisable design.
It should be noted that both the invention patent and the registration of this new kitchen model have been filed, confirming the project’s technological innovation and exclusive design.
The objective was clear from the outset: not to create a mere outdoor version of an indoor kitchen, but to develop a product genuinely engineered to withstand all weather conditions – from heavy rain to the saline air of coastal areas – while ensuring maximum durability and reliability.
Outdoor Design According to Arrital
The new Solaria Outdoor Kitchen by Arrital stands out for its modular frame in AISI 316 steel, the gold standard for corrosion and weather resistance. This frame features a height-adjustable structure that serves as a support for accessories such as a supplementary side table or parasol. An integrated drainage system, with perforated steel channels between the base units and back panels, ensures proper water runoff and natural ventilation. The kitchen offers innovative technical finishes, with options including steel, porcelain stoneware, heat-treated ashwood, and an exclusive UV-resistant wrapping system on the doors for both protection and stylistic customisation. Its design prioritizes ergonomics and modularity, providing intelligent solutions that optimise space and ensure a smooth, user-friendly experience.
“We wanted a product genuinely conceived for outdoor use, without compromise. We studied materials, details and technical solutions to create a kitchen that is functional, durable and visually striking, and that at the same time reflects Arrital quality and identity,” – Franco Driusso, Designer of the project.
Technical and Functional Solutions: A System Tailored for Any Space
Solaria by Arrital is engineered for maximum versatility, offered in two principal configurations to suit diverse needs and environments. It is available either as a freestanding single kitchen unit, perfectly suited for terraces and gardens, featuring adjustable feet to adapt to any flooring, or as a linear wall kitchen, ideally designed for more compact spaces, which provides the option for non-invasive service connections.
Both configurations enable significant customization of the layout thanks to the modular structure, aligning seamlessly with Arrital’s design philosophy.
Key technical innovations include modular elements with pull-out compartments and integrated storage, making full use of available space, alongside a flush-fit sink cover which increases the usable worktop area by optimising surface space when the sink is not in use. Additionally, the system features professional and customisable cooking modules, including a dual-temp Teppanyaki hot plate and induction or gas modules complete with highly weather-resistant components.
Materials & Finishes: Unmatched Style and Performance
Solaria is primarily composed of AISI 316 steel, offering unrivalled durability, with options for stylish personalization through high-quality materials and finishes. Porcelain stoneware provides a sophisticated and durable look for tops, sides, back panels, and lower surfaces, while heat-treated ashwood, designed to withstand the elements, is applicable to the 6 cm thick snack counter and lower-level shelf slats. Further personalization is available with UV-resistant wrapping by 3M, offered in three variants: black micro-perforated, which reveals glimpses of the underlying steel for a more technical, elegant effect; a warm and sophisticated brass effect; and a Corten texture for a modern, industrial look.
Accessories and details that make the difference
To ensure utmost comfort and practicality, Arrital has developed a range of smart accessories, including an adjustable parasol to shield from direct sunlight while cooking, available with or without integrated lighting. They also offer pull-out trays and built-in organisers, perfect for utensils, spices, and kitchen accessories, alongside shelves and storage modules featuring customisable and adjustable mounting solutions. Furthermore, a made-to-measure protective cover is designed to preserve the materials over time and ensure the product’s lasting durability.
Solaria sets a new standard for outdoor kitchen design
With this launch, Arrital brings its design philosophy outdoor, offering a solution that combines professional-grade performance, innovation and design excellence.
“With Solaria, we envisioned an outdoor kitchen that is not only beautiful, but truly high-performing and durable – suitable for any climate and all usage needs. This is just the beginning of a journey set to see Arrital play an increasingly prominent role in the world of outdoor design,” – Franco Driusso.
