Discover the Miele Difference: Smart Home, Sustainable Living

In a world where connectivity is at the heart of daily life, Miele is responding to this demand with innovative Smart Home applications integrated into its most advanced kitchen appliances. This cutting-edge system simplifies complex procedures and transforms everyday tasks into enjoyable activities.

With a longstanding commitment to sustainability, even in kitchen appliances, Miele has developed features to assist consumers in their daily use, from proper food storage in the refrigerator to preparation suggestions, sustainable recipe proposals, and consumption analysis.

The Miele@Home app includes a dedicated section, “Tips for energy saving and conservation,” where you can find detailed instructions on how to best store food in the refrigerator/freezer and effectively use the innovative refrigeration technology of appliances, avoiding food waste and saving energy. Characteristic Miele functions such as NoFrost, PerfectFresh, and Eco Mode are also explained in this section of the app.

Along with these more technical details, the app can provide guidance on reducing energy consumption by teaching users how to properly use appliances. For example, the preheating phase of the oven is often unnecessary for long cooking times, and eliminating it can save up to 20% of energy.

With the aim of making consumers more aware and attentive to their choices, Miele has introduced the Consumption Dashboard for its appliances, including washing machines and dishwashers. This system allows users to clearly monitor electricity and water consumption in individual programs, providing details on average values, suggestions for more efficient use, and analysis of how proper behavior can lead to significant cost savings.

Among the various data reported, the recently introduced Monthly Report is one of the most useful tools for users to become aware of consumption, starting with the use of Eco programs in the various months of the year. With a constant focus on improvement, Miele has also introduced the possibility of viewing data from other users to encourage the adoption of more environmentally friendly solutions.

In addition to supporting numerous features, the Miele app is also useful in choosing dishes to cook, proposing green recipes that meet sustainable criteria. Instead, the Wine Storage Guide feature, which will be available in future updates, will be a valuable tool for becoming wine experts. The best storage temperature or the perfect pairing with dishes are just some of the indications offered to be applied to your Miele wine cellar, where wine preservation is of the highest quality thanks to protection from UV rays, odors in the environment, and shocks, as well as the ability to adjust humidity in the different cooling zones.

Among the best applications for those who enjoy cooking is MealSync, a system integrated into Miele products such as ovens or combination steam ovens, to optimize the timing required for different preparations, so that everything is served at the right time and temperature. After selecting the programs for the individual dishes and the end cooking time for each, the user can confirm the synchronization via the app. This feature, an absolute novelty of the latest generation of Miele products, will be available in the first European countries from the end of 2024.

Finally, the Smart Food ID and Picture Share functions rely on an innovative camera integrated into the ovens. On one hand, the former utilizes artificial intelligence to initiate specific cooking programs by recognizing currently 30 recipes, which are constantly updated. Picture Share, on the other hand, allows users to capture and share high-resolution images of dishes in progress via all major platforms thanks to Miele@Home.
