Archi Fratelli Boffi

The Archi table is a monumental piece entirely clad in inlaid burr oak, born from the convergence of classical architectural forms—arches and cross vaults—with the noblest traditions of cabinetmaking.

The base, composed of six legs delineating a series of arches, transcends its mere supporting function, evolving into a veritable citation of bygone eras, a micro-architecture within the product itself.

The rectangular top, defined by its clean and geometrically rigorous lines, is embellished with a dark, heat-treated, hammered inlay that reproduces, in two dimensions, the design of the architectural base. An authentic synthesis of craftsmanship and design, Archi is not simply a piece of furniture but a celebration of Italian architecture in miniature, surpassing the object’s basic functionality to become a symbol of beauty and historical memory.

Baobab Roberto Cavalli Home Interiors

In keeping with Roberto Cavalli’s signature aesthetic, which often draws inspiration from animal prints, bold colors, and exotic materials, nature serves as a constant muse. The Baobab table from the Roberto Cavalli Home Interiors collection exemplifies this philosophy, transporting us to the heart of the savanna with its distinctive design, directly inspired by the iconic African baobab tree.

The tabletop, composed of five irregularly shaped elements in Versylis marble, evokes the tree’s expansive canopy. Merlino Ghidini1961

The Merlino table, designed by Paolo Rizzatto, instead thrilled the international jury of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2024 for its concept and design, resulting in the winner in the Furniture category. An acknowledgement to a product that becomes a sculpture, characterized by a
marble top that seems to float supported by an unusual structure that is surprisingly rich and light, airy and iridescent when viewed from different points of view.

The linear and curvilinear shapes in burnished and brushed metal that compose it recall organic plant forms and, reflected in a mirrored surface, multiply and seem to mysteriously sink into the floor. Thus the designer wanted to pay tribute to Fausto Melotti, a multifaceted and abstract artist who has always shown love for the material of which Ghidini1961 is a skilled interpreter.

Clockwise Tacchini

The Clockwise table, a design by Michael Anastassiades, presents a study in contrasts: simple yet monumental. Its subtle humor lies in the interplay of the legs, their positioning at the corners of the tabletop creating a dynamic, almost rhythmic arrangement.

This table, the result of the first collaboration between Tacchini and Anastassiades, possesses a strong presence while simultaneously conveying a sense of lightness. The legs appear to almost dance or chase one another, rotating in a choreographed manner that invites exploration and interaction.

At varying tempos, mirroring the metaphor of a gesture, the movements and activities occurring around the Clockwise Table by Tacchini can be narrated in ever-unexpected ways, fluid and informal like the environments in which the table is situated.

The Clockwise Table debuts in Verde Mediterraneo marble, a material the designer reveres, likening it to “a Japanese painting of the sea” and drawing a connection to his Cypriot heritage and the azure tones of its surrounding waters. Alternative material options include Verde Avocado marble with a matte finish and natural-stained ash wood, offered in square and rectangular configurations.

Frank Pedrali

The Frank table embodies a confluence of architectural inspiration and industrial materialization, where rational lines and subtle curves converge to project an image of lightness and contemporary design.

The supporting structure is defined by two die-cast aluminum bases of variable thickness and subtle curvature. This unique geometry generates an optical illusion, perceptibly transforming the table’s form depending on the observer’s vantage point. Viewed frontally, the bases evoke the imagery of sails, their gentle arch creating a visually light and ethereal impression.

From a lateral perspective, however, the bases’ volume imparts a sense of robust solidity. Tapering towards the floor, the bases terminate in a less pronounced curve and are structurally interconnected by a high-strength steel beam positioned beneath the table top.

The rectangular top, featuring radiused corners, is offered in three dimensional configurations and a range of material palettes and finishes. These soft curves further mitigate the visual mass of the substantial supporting structure, enhancing its adaptability to both residential and commercial meeting spaces, where it introduces a distinctive design statement.

Molecola Gallotti & Radice

Syn Potocco

The Syn collection, designed by Mario Ferrarini, explores the dynamic interplay of multifaceted volumes in convergence. This family features two dining tables: one with a circular top and the other rectangular, both defined by a base exhibiting a dynamic interaction of forms and materials.

“Derived from the Greek ‘syn,’ meaning ‘with, together,’” explains Ferrarini, “Syn embodies the union of two distinct, irreducible forms coalescing to create the central support and stabilizing ballast. The contrasting materials establish a necessary relationship, akin to a dialogue.”

The base is the project’s focal point: two ostensibly disparate forms—a parallelepiped and a cylinder—intersect to form a single, commanding volume. This intersection represents both a formal and functional relationship, a stable union defined by a balance of mass and counterweight. This is further accentuated by a material and chromatic contrast achieved through the juxtaposition of ash wood, available in standard catalog finishes, and marble.
