Cattelan Italia Botero

Sculptural Design and Artisan Materiality
Design: Paolo Cattelan

Cattelan Italia presents Botero, the new table that redefines contemporary aesthetics by enhancing its sculptural essence and artisan quality—hallmarks of the company’s know-how.

Through craftsmanship and material research, Botero translates into a minimalist language where materiality takes centre stage, expressing the excellence of Made in Italy signed by Cattelan Italia.

Designed to give shape and substance to a furnishing element of extraordinary personality, this new table speaks the universal language of matter. Inspired by the renowned artist of the same name, Botero stands out for its sculptural central base, a shell with soft lines that evokes the generous and sensual volumes characteristic of Fernando Botero’s works. Just like his celebrated figures with abundant and sinuous forms, the three-dimensionality of the material here is expressed through an unmistakable scenic presence.

From material research and masterful craftsmanship emerges an essential language, shaped by clay, imparting a primordial and tactile identity—a tribute to the plasticity of forms, reflected from the very base of the design. The result is a furnishing element capable of transforming the surrounding space with its powerful aesthetics. The solid base, skilfully crafted by artisans, ensures stability, while the tabletop, available in various finishes, adds a touch of sophisticated refinement.

The selection of materials makes Botero a versatile piece, designed to adapt to different living space interpretations, further enhanced by a range of finishes that accentuate its character. The tabletop is available in ceramic and wood, materials chosen to strike a balance between aesthetics and performance.

Ceramic enhances elegance while ensuring durability, offering a long-lasting surface. Wood conveys warmth and authenticity, recalling traditional craftsmanship. Designed to become the focal point of the dining or living area, the new Botero table is the perfect meeting point between conviviality and functionality.

Cattelan Italia Diploma

Cattelan Italia’s Lighting Design
Design: Studio Kronos

Born from the fusion of two worlds—design and sculpture—Diploma is inspired by the golden ratio while embracing the soft, flowing curves of a rolled parchment. This approach gives the lamp a fluid movement, making it extremely versatile and adaptable to any setting.

Though sculptural in form, Diploma seamlessly integrates into any interior style: whether placed in a modern living space or one with a more classic soul, its presence does not go unnoticed. Like a sculpture of light, it defines the space it inhabits.

Crafted from clay, Diploma embodies the pure essence of a material that has been skilfully shaped by hand. Each lamp is individually finished, and this artisan process gives every piece unique imperfections that enhance its value and authenticity.

The warm, diffused light—perfect for relaxation—emerges from an integrated LED strip embedded in the silhouette, highlighting the rich texture of the clay, a material that optimizes light diffusion. This finish captures the interplay of light and shadow, creating a welcoming and enveloping atmosphere.

The originality of this new lighting product lies in its material selection, combined with embedded LED technology. Diploma’s LED system is highly efficient and contributes to energy savings without compromising light quality. With an integrated dimmer, the light intensity can be adjusted to suit different atmospheres: from a soft glow for moments of relaxation to a brighter setting for activities requiring greater illumination.

Just as a diploma represents an achievement attained through dedication and effort, Cattelan Italia’s new floor lamp, through its very name, declares its promise of lasting durability. A statement of intent that aligns seamlessly with the excellence of Made in Italy and the company’s artisan expertise.

Cattelan Italia Ruby Lounge

The Elegance of Scandinavian Design Amid Nature, Comfort, and Sustainability
Design: Castello Lagravinese Studio

Ruby Lounge is an armchair born with a defined purpose: to integrate seamlessly into residential spaces while simultaneously exploring new frontiers in design, embracing ergonomics and functionality—essential aspects even for the contract sector.

Designed by Castello and Lagravinese, Ruby Lounge strikes a balance between formal precision and comfort. Its wooden structure, selected for its strength and durability, provides both solidity and aesthetic appeal. The essential lines of the legs blend harmoniously with the generous volumes of the seat, which is equipped with soft cushions upholstered with high-density polyurethane foam, designed to offer maximum support and relaxation.

The Scandinavian inspiration is evident: the clean lines and the choice of natural materials, combined with a historical reference to the iconic armchairs of the 1970s, are explicitly expressed in the enveloping shape of the backrest, which extends seamlessly into the armrests. Attention to detail stands out in the visible stitching, a distinctive element reminiscent of the craftsmanship of a 100 % Made in Italy product.

With its extra-large seat, RUBY Lounge speaks the language of versatility, adapting both to domestic environments—as the perfect complement beside a modern sofa—and to contract contexts such as lounges, hotel lobbies, and exclusive suites, standing as a free-standing design element.

Available in a range of customizable finishes and upholstery options, this armchair meets the demands of contemporary design, focused on well-being.

Cattelan Italia Privé

The Divider as a Visual Manifesto
Tosca Design

It unites and separates, reveals and conceals. Privé is Cattelan Italia’s first indoor divider. A piece deeply rooted in centuries of history, traditions, and philosophy, it embraces the heritage of diverse cultures.

Its evolution has been shaped by the multiple functions it has served across Eastern and Western civilizations, adapting to the needs of each era.

As a bridge between aesthetics and functionality, Privé fulfils its role as a space divider, featuring a modular system that starts from a three-panel version. Each module consists of thin wooden panels that can be adjusted at will, creating dynamic interplay of light and shadow.

Privé becomes a visual statement for any interior project: it can transform unused areas into functional spaces or divide a room without requiring permanent structural modifications that often compromise natural light. Its free-standing solid wood structure, framed by a lightweight metal outline that is easy to assemble, carves out private spaces with linear, angular, segmented, or enclosed configurations.

The modularity of Privé makes it ideal for defining and dividing large hospitality areas: from small suites to hotel lobbies, meeting rooms, and wellness areas, Cattelan Italia’s divider serves as a practical solution for shaping reception spaces with both style and efficiency.
