With the Level series, the Italian manufacturer Falmec presents a trio of downdraft extractors that redefine the relationship between appliance and architecture through seamless integration and high-end performance.
In the pursuit of ultimate kitchen minimalism, the conspicuous presence of traditional appliances has become a central design challenge. Falmec, a standard-bearer of Italian engineering and design since 1981, addresses this with its latest collection: Level One, Level, and Level Invisible. Conceived as kinetic architectural components, these systems are engineered to dissolve into the worktop, articulating a pure and uninterrupted horizontal plane.
All three models are built upon a shared engineering platform. A motorized up-and-down system allows the extraction unit to rise silently when needed, positioning itself optimally for the cookware in use. Performance is assured by a powerful yet quiet brushless motor, capable of an 800m3/h extraction rate, which can be remotely installed to maximize cabinet space. This engineering prowess achieves an A++ energy class rating across the series.
Level One is a unified 90 cm solution where the extractor and hob become a single entity. The design is a study in material harmony, pairing black satin-finish aluminium and smoked glass with a black glass ceramic induction hob, available in either a classic glossy or a new scratch-resistant matt finish. The hob itself is a high-performance surface, featuring four in-line cooking zones, Flex Surface technology with a dual bridge function for large pans, and a Chef Mode for setting discrete temperatures across different zones. Functionality is further elevated by an Automode function, which intelligently adjusts suction power based on the cooking intensity, optimising both efficiency and energy consumption.
A standalone 90 cm extractor unit guarantees design flexibility. It embodies a clean, refined aesthetic with its black satin-finish aluminium and smoked glass construction, enhanced by a dynamic LED light strip. This model is equipped with Falmec‘s Dialogue System, enabling wireless control directly from a compatible Falmec induction hob for an intuitive and synchronized user experience.
Level Invisible is engineered for complete visual assimilation into the worktop. Its top panel can be customized with the same material as the surrounding worktop, resulting in a continuous, monolithic surface. Activated by a simple touch, the unit ascends from the worktop. This solution is particularly effective when paired with “invisible” under-counter induction cooking systems, achieving the ultimate minimalist statement. Like the Level, it also incorporates the Dialogue System for integrated control.
All three systems are meticulously designed for practicality, featuring a filter tray that doubles as a condensation collector. For superior air purification, they can be equipped with optional high-efficiency, regenerable Carbon.Zeo Microtech filters, which boast a lifespan of up to three years. With the Level series, Falmec continues its legacy from its Vittorio Veneto headquarters, expertly blending sophisticated design with advanced technology to enhance the modern living environment.
