Nestled in the heart of the Bassano district, L’Ottocento is an artistic expression of Italian craftsmanship with functional design. Each piece of furniture celebrates completely Italian sartorial artistry, combining elegance and efficiency. With a rigorous design, the Gea Collection expands L’Ottocento’s furniture line, showcasing the company’s mastery of materials and focus on contemporary aesthetics.
The Gea Collection enriches L’Ottocento’s furniture offering with two new pieces: a table and a console. Designed by makethatstudio and crafted by the Padua-based company, these pieces feature a rigorous design that emphasizes the quality and beauty of materials and the company’s attention to detail.
Featuring a solid ash wood top and semicircular Verde Alpi marble bases, the substantial rectangular table is characterized by intricately carved slits in the tabletop and legs, showcasing the exquisite materials and imparting an air of refined lightness.
The matching wooden console, finished in a high-gloss lacquer, complements the table’s elegant design with its delicate, linear forms. The rounded corners, a recurring motif in both pieces, define the distinctive features of the Gea Collection by L’Ottocento.
“We sought to create simple geometric shapes that would highlight the natural beauty of materials and high-quality finishes,” explain Nicola Russo and Dea Sgarbossa of Makethatstudio. “L’Ottocento’s skilled craftsmanship and flexible production capabilities provided the perfect platform for our design vision, allowing us to fully realize the potential of these pieces.”
Both pieces in the Gea Collection can be customized to suit individual preferences, with a wide array of colors and sizes available.
