Between light and gravity, objects are born that challenge the static nature of stone and reinvent space with sculptural elegance.
At the heart of matter, where stone meets metal and glass, Migliore + Servetto’s new creations for Neutra are born. Continuously dialoguing with light and space, the items challenge gravity and the static nature of marble, shaping it into dynamically light forms.
With the alternative use of solids and voids, the creations reveal the depth and richness of marble in a game of perceptive stratification. Redefining spaces with their sophisticated essence, the two lamps, sideboard, bookcase and coffee table are transformed into sculptural compositions.
Neutra Pagina Bookcase
Like a large open book with its pages unfolding to receive and reflect light, Pagina is a modular bookcase that plays with the rhythm and use of alternative materials. The staggered succession of marble and metal elements, combined with the movement of the shapely shelves, with a minimum depth of 31cm and maximum depth of 41cm, generates a fluid and varying rhythm that is emphasized by the dialogue with its backdrop.
A piece that fills space with lightness, allowing the gaze to pass through and transforms one’s perception of the environment with its continuous play on reflection and depth. Built with two basic modules, each with a respective length of 73cm and 113cm and a height of 40.7cm, these can together be combined differently to obtain varied configurations.
Neutra Piega Sideboard
Just like a fabric pleat, this sideboard is born from the encounter between volumes and surfaces that appear to have been together molded by the wind. The delicate material wings, marked by various inclinations, create a three-dimensional landscape that vibrates in the light whilst the interplay of fullness and emptiness gives lightness and fluidity to the composition. Piega easily fits into spaces as a dividing element or as an architectural object befitting any room.
Neutra Coronae Coffee Table
A table seemingly in motion, defying stillness in a balance of form and light. The coffee table series, available in three sizes, narrates a refined and minimalist design where every detail has been envisioned to enhance the essence of the material. With its pronounced slanted profile, the table-top and light converse into a playful game of reflections giving life to the piece whilst the asymmetrical edge, created by the intersection of two different circles, adds a sense of dynamism. The base, a truncated conical shape with a geometric finish, balances the lightness of the marble top.
