Milan Design Week: Maistri’s New Kitchen Solutions

Maistri makes its mark at Milan Design Week with the unveiling of exciting new kitchen solutions, reinforcing its position in versatile and design-forward kitchens. Central to their presentation are the evolved K.Table, now adaptable for outdoor use, and the debut of Arena Mass, a design inspired by the Japandi aesthetic.

Maistri: A Legacy of Innovation within the Asso Spa Group

Maistri, a historic kitchen brand, was acquired by Asso Spa in 2012, a renowned company in the high-end furniture sector, which also includes minotticucine, a prominent brand in the design industry. The synergies within the group have allowed Maistri to preserve and enhance its prestige, benefiting from the resources and expertise provided by the group. This has facilitated the development of innovative projects that combine function, design, and extensive design possibilities.

Focus on Design and Functionality: New Proposals Emerge

In recent years, Maistri has placed a strong emphasis on design and quality, focusing particularly on the search for aesthetic innovations aimed at improving kitchen functionality. Among the new proposals, standout features include bookcase tall units and the ‘walk-in’ tall units, customizable and equipped to meet the needs of each project. Maistri stands out as the preferred option for those seeking reliability and versatility in the realm of designer kitchens. Thanks to this approach, the company has embraced the development of unique and functional projects, ensuring a wide range of customizations.

K.Table: Reimagining the Kitchen Island

The distinctive project within Maistri’s offering is undoubtedly K.Table (an acronym for ‘Kitchen Table’), drawing inspiration from the kitchen table with a drawer that characterized kitchens of the past, updated with a modern twist that favors contemporary island design. Elements such as a higher work surface, a drawer, and ease of cleaning under the table are fundamental to the new K.Table project, which translates these concepts into a customizable kitchen island with various finishes. This unique approach combines the cooking area with a social space.

Expanding Horizons: K.Table for Outdoor Living

Furthermore, given the increasing importance of outdoor spaces, Maistri has expanded the K.Table project to outdoor environments. This new proposal offers solutions for cooking outdoors in conviviality and sharing. In this regard, Maistri presents a series of customizable furniture specifically designed for outdoor use, adaptable to all types of appliances intended for this environment.

New Design Elements: Mass Handle and Rim Door

All of this demonstrates how Maistri’s approach successfully combines modernity, tradition, functionality, and aesthetics. For this reason, it has been decided to present new solutions such as the Mass handle and the Rim door at the Salone del Mobile. These proposals will offer designers further opportunities for expression and aesthetic exploration across different styles.

Arena Mass: Embracing the Japandi Aesthetic

Inspired by the Japandi trend, Arena Mass draws inspiration from influences of Japanese and Scandinavian design, incorporating the simplicity and elegance of both styles. Its aesthetic can be purely Japandi, characterized by clean and minimalist lines, or adapted to projects that include a handle, in wood or lacquered with multiple combinations. Available in base units, tall units, and wall units, Arena Mass offers a harmonious and versatile design experience that adapts to various aesthetic and functional choices.

Rim Door: Modernity and Tradition in a Frame

The new Rim frame door by Maistri, modern and refined, represents a current and trendy response to market demands. The frame, made with an ultra-thin solid wood frame, creates suggestive plays of light and shadow within a project that skillfully balances modernity and tradition.

Innovation in Thin Doors: Collaboration with Santamargherita

Maistri will also present at the Salone del Mobile an innovative idea dedicated to thin doors, among which stands out the 8mm door made with a new material from Santamargherita, oriented towards interior design, representing a true innovation in the industry.

This thickness is presented by Maistri with soft shapes, rounded edges, and delicate corners, giving the kitchen a functional and welcoming character at the same time. Additionally, the lightness of the 8mm door makes kitchen use easier, while the softness of the edges makes it pleasant to touch and use daily. But Maistri’s research also continues in the theme of ’12mm doors’, initially presented in ceramic for the base units, extending this opportunity to other finishes and solutions for columns and wall cabinets.
