Molteni&C Furnishes Tai Villa: A Masterpiece of Mediterranean Modernism in Sotogrande, Spain

Molteni&C collaborates with ARK Architects to furnish a stunning contemporary villa in Sotogrande, creating a seamless dialogue between architecture, design, and nature.

Nestled within the picturesque landscape of La Reserva in Sotogrande, Spain, Tai Villa is a striking example of contemporary architecture that seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings. Perched on a hillside podium of stone and wood, its elevated volume offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, creating an uninterrupted dialogue between interior and exterior spaces.

Situated on the Costa del Sol in Andalusia, Sotogrande occupies an area spanning from the Mediterranean Sea to the foothills of the Sierra Almenara. It is one of Europe’s leading sporting destinations for yachting, sail racing, water sports, tennis, international polo and golf.

A Vision of Timeless Architecture

Designed by Manuel Ruiz Moriche of ARK Architects, the villa embodies the timeless principles of Mediterranean living — openness, harmony with nature, and the use of noble materials. Tai Villa is something more than a house, it is a timeless architecture, it is a Home.

The philosophy of the project is to create a new way of experiencing everyday life, with sustainability and comfort as priorities. Without forgetting the care necessary to create a unique object, an architectural form full of elegance and overwhelming spaces.

Living in Nature,” the concept behind Tai Villa, is expressed through the choice of materials: the colors of the sea and sky, Mediterranean warmth, natural stone for its elegance and strength, wood for its warmth and comfort, and natural light as a source of life.

Sustainability as a Cornerstone of Luxury

This harmony between materials and elements creates a comfortable and sustainable environment, defining a kind of luxury rooted in freedom, energy efficiency, and a deep connection with nature.

Tai Villa places strong emphasis on energy sustainability and bioclimatic efficiency. Among the solutions adopted are natural ventilation, the use of high-quality materials, landscape design featuring native plants to preserve the local heritage and reduce water consumption, natural and low-energy lighting, alternative energy sources, and careful analysis of the building’s orientation to optimize space and energy efficiency.

Curated Interiors by Molteni&C

Throughout the residence, Molteni&C furnishings play an essential role in shaping the atmosphere of refined comfort and understated luxury. Carefully curated to complement the villa’s architectural vision, each piece enhances the fluidity between spaces, reinforcing the project’s philosophy of balance, sustainability, and elegance.
