SCIC Italia’s Bold New Kitchen Visions

Italian kitchen innovator SCIC Italia presents its latest bold designs, Rossena and Canossa Outdoor. Debuting at Milan Design Week, these new collections seamlessly blend cutting-edge material research and artisanal craftsmanship for both indoor and outdoor living.

At their Flagship Store on Via Durini 19 during Milan Design Week 2025, the Parma-based brand unveiled these latest creations: Rossena, a new indoor kitchen focused on material and color interplay, and Canossa Outdoor, a modular outdoor kitchen designed by Ballabeni & Catellani Studio.

SCIC Italia: A Legacy of Craftsmanship and Innovation

Founded in 1948 in Parma, SCIC Super Cucine Italiane Componibili is synonymous with artisanal craftsmanship and cutting-edge design, maintaining its entire production in Italy. Through continuous research on materials and technologies, the company creates kitchens that combine functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic excellence.

Rossena: The Sculptural Language of Material

Rossena emerges from a profound reflection on materiality and chromatic layering. The design, articulated through distinct structural levels, features a continuous peninsula with a worktop, achieving a harmonious and functional flow.

Attention to detail is evident in the choice of materials and finishes, with tones that break the model’s monochrome to enhance the various surfaces. Rossena’s distinctive element is the imposing end unit, which echoes the composition’s iconic geometries and reinforces its sculptural character.

Canossa Outdoor: Modular Design and Artisanal Touches

For outdoor spaces SCIC presents a new model: Canossa Outdoor, which reinterprets, thanks to its modular and multifunctional features, the classic outdoor kitchens. The design, by Ballabeni & Catellani Studio, imposes compositional rigor that emphasizes the purity of forms, while metal and brass details became the main character of the model, highlighting the project’s artisanal craftsmanship.

A distinctive element of Canossa Outdoor is the use of five cast pieces with a brass finish, exclusively designed for this model. Together with the solid metal elements, they allow for independent assembly and adjustment of the structure, which is then completed with wooden modules to ensure solidity and customization.

Integrating Cutting-Edge Technology with AEG

The SCIC kitchens integrates cutting-edge technologies to offer solutions that combine contemporary design, elegance and maximum functionality. For this reason, SCIC has partnered with AEG, a renowned German brand of home appliances. The new AEG built-in range features intuitive interfaces and advanced technologies. These anticipate consumer needs and, with the help of AI, optimize recipes, offering a personalized experience. The clean lines create a harmonious dialogue with the environment through distinctive matte black and glossy finishes with material effects.

“SCIC has always had a bold and innovative approach to design,” says Lorenzo Marconi Fornari, CEO of SCIC Italia. “With Canossa Outdoor and Rossena, we want to redefine the concept of the kitchen, transforming it into a unique aesthetic and functional experience.”

Collaboration and the Atrium Kitchen

In 2025, SCIC renews its collaboration with the Conte Casa group, in the space dedicated to sartorial design at Via Montenapoleone 18. Here, you will be able to discover Atrium, the kitchen born from the synergy between 13.1 Architecture & Decor and SCIC Italia. This exclusive model stands out for its antiqued mirror doors with an aluminum profile in SCIC Silver finish and the elegant veining of Paonazzo marble, which decorates the top, wall, sides, and back panels.

SCIC: Rooted in Italian Craftsmanship, Looking Towards the Future

Destined to become a staple in Italian homes, SCIC – short for Super Cucine Italiane Componibili – was founded in the heart of Emilia Romagna, producing furniture for both the Italian and global markets. The production extends over more than 70,000 square meters in factories with a distinctive silhouette along the Autostrada del Sole, housing showrooms, offices, and production facilities.

These are emblematic of an Italian company that remains entirely localized and recognizable in Italy. State-of-the-art production systems, attention to energy consumption, and the selection of materials and production processes, including those for use and waste, characterize SCIC’s philosophy today. Only with the in-depth knowledge of techniques and materials possessed by SCIC’s craftsmen is it possible to maintain a high-quality product that draws close to the craftsmanship from which SCIC originated in the last century.

The aesthetic dimension remains a primary characteristic, thanks to the close and ongoing collaboration with prominent architecture studios, which find in SCIC a particular attention to the use of materials and functional systems. Thanks to a policy of “total quality,” SCIC has earned numerous accolades over time, continually raising its standards.
