As part of Brera Design Week 2025, Valcucine intertwines innovative disciplines to foster an active dialogue between cultures and expertise, smart home technology, and kitchen environments. By connecting with the city and its people, we explore new possibilities for the future of living.
Valcucine renews its participation in Milan Design Week, continuing the dialogue initiated last year. At the core of our vision are the Scenarios, enriched with new perspectives through a broader interconnection between architecture, design, and emerging disciplines.
With the Connected Scenarios concept, the Valcucine Milano Brera showroom transforms into a hub for reflection and discussion, bringing together designers, architects, and visionaries from various fields. Partnering with brands such as e15 and Rakumba, we explore the value of connections in contemporary design.
Inside and outside the Valcucine space – designed in collaboration with three renowned international architecture studios, Neri&Hu, i29, and ARRCC – we present the Speakers’ Corner of Connected Scenarios. This series of interviews and conversations will offer fresh insights into the central themes of Milan Design Week 2025. Discussions will delve into how the integration of physical and digital realms, the dialogue between cultures, inclusive design, and sustainability can redefine the way we live and interact with the built environment.
At the heart of these conversations is the Kitchen Scenario, a space of interaction and connection. As both a symbolic and functional backdrop, the kitchen becomes the perfect setting to explore how design can enhance daily life, foster social relationships, and promote resource consciousness and well-being through innovation.
Within Connected Scenarios, the Speakers’ Corner acts as a laboratory of ideas, where some of the most influential voices in design, architecture, and innovation outline future trajectories for the industry. Notable confirmed speakers include Nicola Ricciardi, Director of miart; Alessandro Mininno, Founder of Flatmates; Silvia Badalotti, Prompt Designer; Luca Molinari, Architect, Critic, and International Curator. Joining them will be designers from e15, Rakumba, and other industry experts, engaging in a collective dialogue that interweaves creative talent, technology, and sustainability to imagine a more connected, inclusive, and forward-thinking future.
By placing the kitchen at the center of this dialogue, Valcucine reinforces its leadership in the industry and its role as a cultural catalyst in the design world, fostering new perspectives on how design can transform the way we live and interact with our surroundings.
Smart Home Technology Redefining the Kitchen Experience
Within Connected Scenarios, where design merges with technology, sustainability, and human interaction, Valcucine redefines the kitchen experience through smart home technology. The visionary approach transforms the kitchen into a space where architecture, technology, and design seamlessly intertwine, once again redefining the concept of living.
By integrating intelligent solutions, the kitchen environment becomes a fluid, interactive space that dynamically adapts to daily needs, enhancing both comfort and efficiency.
As a pioneer in ergonomic evolution, Valcucine has long anticipated the future by designing solutions that enhance the relationship between humans and their living spaces. Today, with smart home integration, this research takes another step forward: intelligent systems allow users to manage their kitchens through apps or voice commands like Alexa, transforming daily routines into a natural and seamless experience.
A truly connected ecosystem, where technology amplifies freedom of movement and functionality, creating an environment that adapts dynamically to the needs of contemporary living. This evolution goes beyond simple automation, establishing a harmonious balance between innovation and well- being.
Archigraphica Valcucine: The soul of wood
“I have always worked on pure volumes, with Archigraphica, I wanted to add a graphic design made of natural matter to the surface of the furniture. In a society that is increasingly detached from nature and has adapted to synthetic materials, I thought it was important to propose wood not just as a superficial veneer but as mass, as natural matter, to satisfy tactile sensations and to bring back the ancestral memory that has made wood a friendly matter to humankind for thousands of years. The graphic design, which can be freely composed, offers designers a unique expressive freedom, allowing to design the materiality and architecture of their kitchen’s facade,” says Gabriele Centazzo.
Archigraphica is the new aesthetic and functional proposal to bring back the warmth of wood in Valcucine’s most traditional kitchen. Archigraphica distinctive feature is the iconic graphic line that frames the fronts while recalling the perspective drawing of a building.
A solid walnut profile frames the sides and worktop, adding warmth, elegance, and character. This solution is not only decorative but also highly functional: the profile can transform into a subtle handle perfectly integrated into the kitchen’s geometry.
Archigraphica opens up a new design perspective, offering freedom to create dynamic intersections and graphic play. Available with walnut doors that can be combined with all Forma Mentis worktop finishes, Archigraphica also offers monochromatic solutions in white or anthracite to create a monomaterial volume that enhances the graphic interplay of wooden lines.
