Valcucine inaugurates its new Atelier in Dubai, a project that translates the brand’s identity into the architectural landscape of the Emirates.
In the heart of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), located within the prestigious Index Tower, an architectural landmark designed by Foster + Partners, Valcucine opens a new atelier in collaboration with Merise and the Indo-Emirati studio 2+ Design. The new space represents a strategic step in the brand’s international expansion, affirming Valcucine’s ability to interpret and adapt its values to diverse cultural and spatial contexts.
Far from any replicative logic, the Atelier was conceived as an embodiment of the Architectural Scenarios philosophy, which views the kitchen not as a standalone object, but as a relational space, capable of engaging in meaningful dialogue with its architectural surroundings.
The geometry of the interior—a double-height volume defined by a single opaque wall and a curved glass façade—required a tailored architectural approach. The result is a refined, coherent space where a custom bronze-colored metal mesh surface modulates light and defines the visual identity of the showroom.
Internally, the Atelier unfolds as a sequence of three refined kitchen environments, each expressing the technological sophistication and material depth of Valcucine.
The first setting is dominated by Logica Celata, presented in its Bar configuration and enhanced by a bespoke Vitrum Arte customization: a stylised golden falcon—emblematic of local heritage—etched into deep red glass. An India green marble partition introduces the living area, where the Aerius Wall Unit, in Vitrum Velato, brings a sense of lightness and nuanced transparency.
Next comes the Genius Loci, paired with the Air Logica Special Element and framed by a sculptural Vitrum Tessile boiserie that spans the height of the space. The central island brings together glass, metal, and natural stone in a composition of visual and tactile balance.
The exhibition culminates in Artematica, articulated through a refined interplay of glass, metal, and wood, completed by the New Logica Special Element and the Insula counter—embodying the harmony of functionality and form that defines the brand.
The project is the result of a three-way dialogue between Valcucine, Merise, and 2+ Design, each bringing a distinct contribution: industrial excellence, cultural insight, and architectural vision.
“Designing Valcucine’s Dubai showroom meant transforming a challenging architectural space into one of connection and meaning,” says Vaisakh Varkey Mathunny, Founder of 2+ Design. “Each decision was rooted in the language of the place, without compromising the conceptual tension and material refinement that define the brand.”
“With the opening of the Dubai Atelier,” says Maurizio Vianello, CEO of Valcucine, “we continue our path of international growth, focusing on strategic markets and on partners capable of authentically interpreting our values. This project merges innovation, design culture, and bespoke craftsmanship—delivering tailored experiences in unique architectural settings.”
“We are proud to strengthen our collaboration with Valcucine in the Middle East,” adds Niveditha Reddy, Co-Founder of Merise. “This project reflects a shared vision: bringing the best of Italian design to the world through excellence, creativity, and contextual intelligence.”
With this new opening, Valcucine Dubai | Merise becomes a new destination for architects, interior designers, and clients in search of refined, sustainable, and high-end interior solutions in the UAE.
